With the song list now completed, rehearsals for our April production are now well on the way. As I intimated previously the title is to be “All Aboard”. The original idea of a world tour in song, once Maggie Williams got hold of it, has developed into a sort of shore-based cruise. On the journey we will visit the Americas, various parts of Europe, Africa, Asia and even ‘down-under’ to the Antipodes – in fact a wide variety of types of song both old and new. In order to fit the story line I have had the task of rewriting a number of lyrics, a brain taxing but enjoyable occupation. Although the full plot has not yet been revealed I can assure you that there are likely to be plenty of comic incidents. Will everyone behave at the Captains table? How talented are the ‘nightclub’ acts? Will all the passengers be the ‘right sort’ of people? We will just have to wait and see!
